Xpertia Launches AI-Assisted Peer Review Tools
Xpertia Publishing has introduced a new suite of AI-assisted tools designed to support — not replace — the human judgment at the heart of academic peer review.
The tools, available to all editors on the platform, include an automated manuscript screening tool that checks for completeness, formatting consistency, and common methodological reporting gaps before a submission enters formal review. A separate reviewer-matching module uses research area keywords and publication history to suggest qualified reviewers, reducing the time editors spend on recruitment.
A plagiarism and similarity analysis module has also been integrated, providing editors with a detailed similarity report on every submitted manuscript at no additional cost to the journal.
Xpertia is committed to responsible AI use in scholarly publishing. All AI-generated recommendations are presented as suggestions only — editors retain full authority over all decisions. Authors are notified transparently whenever automated tools have been applied to their submission.
These tools are available immediately to all journal editors on the platform. A webinar introducing the features is scheduled for March 18, 2026 — registration details will be circulated via email.
